Odontolabis mouhotii elegans

Price

CHF58.00

Odontolabis mouhotii elegans is the apt name of this insect, spectacular due to its size and especially that of its mandibles. It is part of the beetle family.

Presented in a transparent entomological frame, it is protected by a plastic film (it will therefore be more beautiful in real life than in the photo).

Alpha (or major) morphs, such as the one shown, are the largest of the four existing types. The size and shape of the mandibles may make them ideal for fighting, allowing the beetle to take on rivals.

All specimens are ethically sourced from captive-bred farms. They live their full life cycle.
